Description
DEA Certification consists of an 8-hour certification course for all DEA-registered practitioners on treating and managing patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.

Objectives:

1. Know the neurobiology of substance use disorders
2. Recognize the clinical signs of patients with substance use disorders
3. Apply buprenorphine prescription guide
4. Recognize and manage opioid use disorder at the ER
5. Encourage the use of motivational interviewing in substance use disorders
6. Manage pain and substance use disorders in pediatric patients
